Support the Hampton Family's Recovery Efforts
Donation protected
Hi All,
On January 7, 2025, the Eaton Fire swept through Altadena, CA leaving behind a path of devastation that impacted countless homes, businesses and lives. Sadly, our family (my mom, Peggy (Starks) Hampton, brother, sister-in-law, and myself), are among those affected as we lost our home and the majority of our possessions in the fire.
Our father, Alfred Sr., built our home over 50 years ago with the vision that his family would live there for decades to come. In honor of his hard work, love and vision, we are determined to recover and continue to live in the community that has shaped us.
We have been deeply moved by the outpouring of love and support we have received from family, friends and even complete strangers since the fire. Many have asked how you can help support us in this time. Our dream is to keep our father’s legacy alive. We humbly ask for your support in this effort.
We want to ensure that our family’s story remains part of Altadena’s ongoing legacy – a legacy of perseverance, pride, community and family. Your support means the world to us during this incredibly difficult and overwhelming time.
Your contribution will help:
- Support our family through this challenging time
- Assist with needs that might not be fully covered by other sources of aid
We are deeply grateful for your kindness, compassion, and support. Together, we will recover with strength, hope and love.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Melanie Hampton
