Help the Grob-McIntosh Family Through the Sudden Loss of Their Beloved Husband, Father, and Teacher
It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Dave McIntosh on October 4th. Dave was Alexis's devoted husband, Jack and Rory's father, and Darian's stepfather. He was a loving family man and a dedicated 6th-grade history teacher at Tarpon Springs Middle School, where he was respected by students, coworkers, and friends alike. Dave’s sharp wit, intelligence, and big-hearted nature left a lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
His sudden passing has left the family and all who knew him in shock and deep grief. His influence extended far beyond the classroom, as his love for adventure and life inspired all those around him. Dave’s humor and warmth made him an irreplaceable presence in both his personal and professional life.
Dave’s sons, Jack and Rory, have already experienced incredible loss with the passing of their mother, Cheryl, in 2020. When Alexis married Dave just a few short months ago, she vowed to love and care for the boys as her own. Now, she is faced with the daunting task of guiding them through another heartbreaking loss while managing their family’s future.
During times like these, it’s important that we come together to support our fellow band family. Jack plays piano and is an active member of the Tarpon Springs High School band where he plays clarinet. Rory also plays piano. He and Darian are proud members of the Dunedin Highland Middle School band, orchestra, theater, and Pipes and Drums programs. The band community has always been about more than just music—it’s about family, friendship, and standing by one another through thick and thin. The McIntosh family has been an integral part of this community, and now, more than ever, they need our support.
This GoFundMe is set up to help Alexis, Jack, Rory, and Darian in the wake of this unimaginable loss. Funds raised will go towards current expenses and helping the family navigate the road ahead. Any donation, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden on Alexis and give her the space to focus on caring for the boys and healing as a family while showing them that they are not alone during this difficult time.
Your generosity, thoughts, and prayers are deeply appreciated.
