Aid for Jadarya Tobias and Family: Fire Recovery Fund

Dear Family, Friends, and Community,

I want to share a heartfelt message about our brother and his family, Jadarya Tobias, Tamar, and their two daughters, who live in Pasadena, CA. The recent wildfire in Eaton Canyon has devastated them, and while we are beyond grateful for their safety, they have suffered significant losses. Imagine watching the news and the anchor is covering Del Rey Ave and Woodlyn Rd, the corner you live on. You see your home along with your entire community engulfed in flames. Their home is now uninhabitable, and they have lost many personal belongings. The photo above, taken by Jadarya Tobias, captures his bravery as he fought through smoke and flying embers to reenter their home in a desperate attempt to salvage what he could before it was consumed by flames.

The road ahead for them will be challenging. They are facing significant hurdles with their insurance, which unfortunately will not cover nearly enough of the extensive losses they have suffered. This is where we, as their community, can make a real difference. Though they would never ask for help themselves, they need our support more than ever.

I’ve started this GoFundMe campaign to help Jadarya, Tamar, and their two young daughters begin to rebuild their lives. Every contribution, no matter the size, will go a long way in providing essential resources to help them regain stability. These funds will directly support expenses not covered by disaster relief or insurance, allowing them to take the first steps toward recovery.
