To know the Gray family is to love them. Last Saturday, they were displaced when their beloved home caught on fire. No one in their family was significantly hurt from the fire, and everyone is safe, including their dog and two birds. Their home, however, has fairly significant damage. Your compassion, kind words, and prayers on their behalf have meant a great deal. God is so good!
Since the fire on Saturday, many have been asking how they can help. This is all quite overwhelming, and they are basically figuring things out as they go. Please pray with us for the Lord to make their path straight and for wisdom for the many decisions that will need to be made. As far as specific help, right now, the most helpful, most direct way to support the Gray family is through financial gifts. At this time, there is not a specific amount that they need or feel comfortable sharing, so I set the goal at 7, a number often used for completion in the Bible. We trust that you will give as the Lord leads, and it will be exactly the correct amount.
If you prefer to give without using this platform, clearly marked financial donations and Walmart gift cards can be left for the Grays at the reception desk at First Baptist Norfolk (312 Kempsville Rd, Norfolk, VA).
Their needs will change, and we will update here with items that can be donated.
UPDATE 4/5/25:
The Grays have found temporary housing and need a few items to fill their home. If you are able to donate anything, please contact Gretchen at [phone redacted] to arrange dropoff.
