Hurricane Melissa has had a devastating impact on the island of Jamaica. Our beloved Beckley Retreats family and community at Good Hope Jamaica have been deeply affected.

At this time, we know that the Good Hope property has sustained significant damage, requiring extensive cleanup and repair before it can reopen. Many of the Good Hope staff have endured an incredibly traumatic few days and either lost or suffered significant damage to their homes and belongings, with a long road to recovery ahead. Beyond the physical damage, much remains unknown. Some of our cherished team members who live outside of walking distance are currently unreachable due to power outages and loss of cell service. We continue to hold them in our hearts as we await news and do all we can to support those we have reached.

The Good Hope team has been the heart and soul of so many Beckley Retreats Jamaica experiences—the warm welcome from the moment you arrive, the care in every meal, the kindness and presence that shape every moment spent there. Now it is our turn to show up for them.

We have been so moved by the outpouring of messages from our community asking how to help. This GoFundMe is the first step in our collective effort to support the Good Hope team and the surrounding community in their recovery from this devastating storm.
