My name is Mariko and I am raising funds on behalf of the Gonzalez-Mora family as they navigate their father's worsening health conditions. They are an incredibly hard-working family. Mother, Sandra, would commute from Pittsburg to Oakland, and father, Guillermo, would commute from Pittsburg to San Francisco every day while he still could. They are raising three wonderful children, Guillermo, Ivan, and Stephanie, and supporting them as best they can despite the long hours at hospitals all over the Bay Area. The past few years have been a whirlwind of dialysis appointments, emergency visits to the emergency room, and surgeries. Guillermo recently had heart surgery on October 17. While recovering at the hospital in San Francisco, he suffered yet another stroke. As his condition is worsening, Sandra is needing to take time off work to take care of him and take him to his physical and occupational therapy appointments.

The funds will directly support covering the large number of medical bills and costs of treatments, operations, and services. Especially with both of them being unable to work, and potentially losing insurance, the family is anticipating an extremely uncertain and scary future. Unsure of not only how much time they have left with Guillermo, they are also facing extreme financial stress. Any amount, big or small, will make a significant difference for the family, so they can focus on spending as much time caring for Guillermo rather than focusing on how to make ends meet.
