Manny and I were blessed to meet the Gonzalez family on March 25th, unfortunately we didn’t meet under the best circumstances. Pablo and Vanessa, along with their 4 children, were completing an UberEats order nearby our home when the transmission to their vehicle gave out on them. They were able to pull into the street we live in, and Manny approached to help them. As a family they have faced many hardships the last few years, Vanessa’s mother became critically ill a couple years ago so she moved back home to Mexico with her children. Pablo was living here in Arizona and working to pay their bills and expenses in both Arizona and Mexico. Vanessa was her mother’s caretaker 24/7 until her mother unfortunately passed away. Her and their children moved back to Arizona but shortly after a few months had to return to Mexico as a whole family because Vanessa’s younger siblings were not doing well and needed her support. Pablo, Vanessa, and their children came back to Arizona a couple months ago and have not been able to properly get situated at a home due to unforeseen costs. They have been working for Ubereats and Lyft to complete orders and receive income to stay at hotels for one or two nights at a time (depending on their daily income). With their vehicle out of commission, they are not only having a difficult time finding employment but also shelter. They have been waitlisted at shelters and Pablo has been actively seeking work. We have been able to pay for their stay at motels for the last couple weeks with help from family, but we are needing some financial help. We are asking for donations so this beautiful family can fix the transmission on their vehicle and hopefully get situated at a place and buy necessities. If you can donate either to this, go fund me or if you’d like to pay for their stay somewhere or share this, we would greatly appreciate any and all help.
