Support for the Goltsekers!

Our dear friends, Amy and Lev, are facing an unimaginable challenge. Their beautiful daughter Aya was recently diagnosed with leukemia at just 5 weeks old and has been in the hospital receiving treatment since February 26th. As they focus on Aya's treatment and on caring for their son Avi, we are starting this GoFundMe to help with any unforeseen expenses. Below, Amy and Lev share more about their journey and how we can support them:

Our family has embarked on a very unexpected new journey. On Wednesday, February 26th, our then almost 5-week-old daughter, Aya, was diagnosed with leukemia, and has been in the PICU ever since. She has already made amazing strides on chemo, and we are so very lucky to not only have her world-class medical team, but the absolute most generous community of friends and family surrounding us with love from all corners of our life. From our best friends, to our family, to our son Avi’s INCREDIBLE school, to our building’s staff, and beyond, there are no words to express how utterly astounded we are by the support we are receiving. This will be a long, challenging journey, but one on which we are being supported every day, in every possible way.

We do not yet know what expenses we will have as Aya continues on in her treatment. We have been encouraged to start this GoFundMe because of that, as there are so many unknowns. While managing Aya’s care, our almost 5-year-old son, Avi, will need additional babysitting and activities, so that he can stay occupied and engaged in meaningful and fun ways throughout this long period of unknowns.
