Support the Godfather Family through Al's Road to Recovery

Hello, my name is Priscilla Cummings, the eldest daughter of Allen and Loretta Drolet.

In the racing community, our family is well known as Godfather Racing. The man who runs the show is Allen Drolet or other wise known as Al. He is the laughter, the fun, the heart of our racing team and our family. All who come as friends to Al, leave as family. He LOVES cars and has been racing since he was a teen. He has ALWAYS been surrounded by cars. He is a wheel and deal guy, always working HARD at trying to provide for his family. He never stops.

On Saturday, June 22, 2024, our hearts cracked as we received the call from Loretta, my mom, Al's wife, that he had been in an accident. Words we never want to hear let alone at 1am in the morning.

Al had taken the Godfather out for a ride. On his way back the car went airborne, rolled several times, and he was ejected from the vehicle 150ft away.

His son, Allen Joseph, and a friend heard the wreck and came running. He had several lacerations, on face, head, arms, and hands. He was bleeding out internally, his right femur was broken in two spots, his pelvis broken on the right/front side, joint spacing in his pelvis with right leg, several broken ribs, and a couple vertebrae in his back broken. He only had 10-15% of his blood left when he made it to the hospital.

He had one surgery to stop the bleeding. He has had a two surgeries today, June 25, 2024, to close his stomach and help stabilize the leg until they can do the surgery on it as it would be too much for his body to handle right now. They are doing an MRI this evening to see if surgery is needed on his back.

This will be a LONG recovery but, GOD is here amidst it all! He is breathing on his own, he is able to move, he has no brain damage, no spinal cord damage! He will be able to walk when he makes a full recovery!

It is hard for the family to navigate the next steps as we don't even know what is ahead financially. He is the sole provider for the household so without him being able to work on cars, my mom needs help with bills.

We are thankful for all the prayers for my family! We are so overwhelmingly filled with gratitude of all the blessings that have been pouring in already. We understand it is a hard ask. It is hard for us to ask, but during all of this we are realizing we have such a bigger village than we thought and we are filled with so much love from a community that prays and has the faith we do!
