Hello Friends and Family of Save The Young Girls Foundation Orphanage in Waterloo, Sierra Leone. We introduce to you the 2019 End of Year Giving campaign to raise immediate funds needed for the orphanage. As a brief history, the Feb 2014 Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone resulted in many displaced children in the Rokupa Wharf area. Witnessing several young homeless girls touched the heart of Susan Marie Sesay and eventually led to Save The Young Girls Foundation Orphanage being established. This Orphanage is striving to Empower & Educate these girls so their future is brighter! Though many good Samaritans have come her way this year, it has still been a constant struggle to meet the basic  needs. With 31 girl orphans, there are everyday issues and challenges with food, clothing and shelter. A team of Like minded Women in the US recently came together and are eager to help the orphanage grow to a more sustainable operation. Our efforts, while great just cannot happen overnight. As we embrace the holiday season, we humbly appeal to your kind hearts to donate dollars that can help meet the immediate needs for the coming months to include their rent payment for the 2020 year, food and supplies as well as offset of costs for remaining barrels of donation shipments.
