On behalf of our beloved friends Ryland and Preston Gigante, we are reaching out to ask for support during an unimaginable and devastating time.
Ryland and Preston’s father, Phil Gigante, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly this month. Phil was not only the heart of his family, but he had also retired early to become the full-time caregiver for their mother, Natalie, whose health has been in steep decline.
After a broken back injury was misdiagnosed, it continued to worsen over the course of 6 years. Her loss of mobility and strength eventually led to fractures in both of her legs, leaving her bedridden for the past three months. Phil cared for her tirelessly, every day.
Now, with Phil’s sudden passing, the full weight of caregiving—and the financial, emotional, and physical burdens that accompany it—has fallen on Ryland and Preston.
Ryland is a newly graduated actor and playwright who recently moved to Chicago to start his career. Preston is a talented multi- instrumentalist based in Los Angeles.
They now must split their time between supporting their mother’s intensive care needs and trying to maintain footing in already challenging professions. The strain—emotionally and economically—is immense.

In order to help with the rising medical costs, and with hopes of eventually securing a full-time rehabilitation center for Natalie, the family urgently needs help. Please donate whatever you can to support the Gigante family as they face this profound loss and their ongoing medical challenges.
