The gift of memories is truly priceless. Sara Quinn’s journey is one of unimaginable strength, and she is incredibly deserving of the opportunity to create lasting memories with her husband and sons at Disney. Time has never been more precious than it is now.

Sara and Pat Quinn were married on April 25, 2015, and shortly after, they joyfully anticipated the arrival of their first child. However, on December 18, 2016, their world was forever changed when their son, Thomas John Quinn, was born into the arms of angels. Through unimaginable heartbreak, Sara and Pat were later blessed with two more beautiful sons: Joshua Patrick (6) and Collin Joseph (5). For the past nine years, Sara has dedicated herself to raising over $50,000 for causes close to her heart, including March of Dimes, No Foot Too Small, and Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, all while being an incredibly loving and strong mother to her boys.

On January 20, 2025, Sara sought medical attention for chronic abdominal pain. After lab work revealed concerningly high levels of D-dimer, indicating a potential blood clot, a CT scan was performed. The scan revealed a 22 cm mass in her upper pelvis, pressing against her organs and diaphragm, causing excruciating pain. She was urgently referred to the University of Iowa Gynecology Oncology, where it was suspected that this mass could be ovarian cancer.

On January 28, Sara underwent surgery. The original plan was to remove both ovaries and perform a hysterectomy, but complications arose. While the ovaries were successfully removed, along with three liters of ascites, the hysterectomy could not be completed due to the discovery of an ulcer and other unusual abnormalities in her stomach. A Gastric Oncologist was consulted, and further lab work was sent to pathology. Sara returned home to recover, awaiting the uncertain results.

The pathology report revealed that the ulcer and abnormal cells in her stomach were a form of gastric cancer.

On February 20, Sara received the heartbreaking news: she would never know a life without cancer. With no cure in sight, Sara and Pat made the difficult decision to follow a care plan with medical teams in Dubuque and Madison, focusing on providing the best quality of life for Sara, surrounded by her family. Sara’s deepest wish is simply for more time with her loved ones.

Sara is not one to ask for help, but now, as a family, we are asking for your support. Please help us fulfill Sara’s dream of taking her husband and sons to Disney, and to meet her ongoing medical needs.

Thank you for taking the time to read Sara’s story. Any contribution you can make will mean the world to her family, and we deeply appreciate your generosity.
