Support the Gaspar Family's Recovery Journey

The Gaspar family has recently experienced a devastating car accident while on vacation in North Carolina. We are asking for friends and family to consider helping the family with current expenses and upcoming expenses related to the accident.

Fernando, Sophia, and Alex traveled to North Carolina on Tuesday, February 18, to visit Fern. Shortly after midday on Wednesday February 19, on their way to lunch , they hit ice on the road and lost control of the vehicle and crashed with another vehicle and a semi. It was a miracle that everyone left the car alive.

Fernando suffered breaks in both of the bones of his right leg, Fern suffered two fractures to her right pelvis and Sophia suffered a head injury with hemorrhaging in the brain. Alex walked away very frightened with bumps and bruises.

As of 2/25, Fernando has had 2 surgeries on his leg, he remains in the hospital recuperating. Fern also remains in the hospital and has had 1 surgery to repair her pelvis. She is suffering from hearing loss in one ear and is still under observation. Sophia was released a few days ago and continues to make improvements.

Currently Netze remains in North Carolina with the family and working to coordinate care and all of the complexities that come along with a major car accident.

As of now, we know that the Gaspar will be facing at least one insurance deductible of $17,500. In addition, they expect to be in North Carolina for at least the next 3-4 weeks. Every day that they are in NC, they are facing expenses related to housing, food, transportation, and medical needs. Our goal is to help provide some relief of the major expenses so they can focus on healing.

The Gaspar family has done so much for so many. They are often the first ones to volunteer to help others in need. Anything we can do would be greatly appreciated.
