Hi, I’m Erik Zachariah. A fashion designer, stylist, and founder of Out of the Black, a brand born from a lifelong obsession with vintage clothing.

Over ten years ago, I designed and showcased collections that made it all the way to Saks Fifth Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Since that time life has pulled me in other directions. I spent the past decade working across the fashion industry in HI, LA, SF, and now NY. Styling, visual merchandising, and vintage curation have expanded my understanding of design and how it relates to people.

Now, I’m finally ready to return to my roots and create a Fall/Winter 2026 Collection that reflects where I am at today and where I have come from. The collection is titled Out of the Black which is all about stepping out of the shadows and claiming the vision of your life.

This isn’t just about clothes. It’s about reclaiming a dream I’ve carried since childhood and building a brand rooted in individuality, transformation, and self-expression. I want to create pieces that resonate and help others step into their power.

I’ve done everything I can solo from sketching late at night, to sourcing vintage pieces for inspiration, to shaping this brand’s identity but I’ve reached a point where I need help to do it right. I have always had such a wonderful support system and I would appreciate any help possible.
