Support the Funky Bunch
Donation protected
Amy Hinson unexpectedly passed away on 2/15. Amy blessed so many of us with her love, time, support, comfort food and dance moves. For those that knew Amy, her love for her children, the Funky Bunch, was unmatched. During this very difficult time we ask for donations to help with funeral costs and final arrangements. If you can help lift the Funky Bunch up to minimize the financial stress, any amount would be greatly appreciated.
"If you came to me with a face I have not seen, with a voice I have never heard, I would still know you. Even if centuries separated us, I would still feel you.
Somewhere between the sand and the stardust, through every collapse and creation, there is a pulse that echoes of you and I…The season is hard on hearts. Losing someone isn't just about missing them, it begins a lifelong cycle of grieving for the memories you'll never make. The special times that will never be. You never stop longing for the ones who have gone, no matter how much time has passed.
So often people want to help. They want to help carry the burden of grief but aren't sure how. Be gentle in your choice of words. Instead of offering advice, offer
support. Acknowledge their feelings, share memories of their loved one, say their names. Ask them questions about what they miss most. Don't be afraid to start the conversation. Although often times words
aren't necessary. Just sit with them and love them. Helping to carry another's heartache is an immeasurable gift. Grief is never ending, it will evolve and soften over time but there will be moments when
it's as raw and consuming as when it was new. If you are grieving, give yourself grace…know that you aren't alone. During the times when the tears fall and your heart is so heavy please remember that love is everlasting…..it reaches across eternity.” - Amy Hinson
