Help Me Build My Frog Army

The animal you see on the banner of this GoFundMe is known as the White’s Tree Frog, also called the Dumpy Tree Frog or the Australian Green Tree Frog. They are one of the most common amphibians in the pet world, and honestly? They’re kind of perfect.

Let me explain:

Look at it
It’s green
They’re pretty big for a tree frog
They sit like weird little guys
They chirp when they’re happy
They’ve got that “retired lounge singer” energy and I love them for it

I work at a zoo and have several pets of my own, including a few African Dwarf Frogs. Frogs are my favorite reptile (yes, I know they’re technically amphibians, let me live), and I’ve been dreaming of adding White’s Tree Frogs to my crew for years. But setting up an enclosure that actually meets their needs—bioactive, climate-controlled, ethical and enriching—is a little pricey upfront.

That’s where you come in. This fund will help cover:

A proper terrarium setup with lighting, heat, humidity, and climbing space
Live plants, leaf litter, and substrate (aka frog furniture)
A starter colony of feeder bugs
And of course, the frogs themselves (names pending but will likely include at least one Greg)

I’ve done the research, I’m ready for the responsibility, and I genuinely want to give these frogs the best life possible. If you’re into frogs, enrichment-based pet care, or just like the idea of helping someone build a tiny, peaceful frog empire—any donation helps.

I’m also putting my own savings toward this goal, slowly but surely, so anything you contribute just helps me get there a little faster (and maybe lets me splurge on a fancy misting system).
