Marcus Allen Memorial Fund
Donation protected
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marcus Deon Allen, who departed this life and entered into the glory of the Lord on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Marcus was a beloved husband and father, a multi-talented and Grammy award-winning instrumentalist and producer, a teacher, a man of faith, a family man, and friend. Words cannot truly express how dearly he will be missed. Marcus leaves behind his devoted wife, Myra Gabrielle, two beautiful daughters, Doren and Aria, and a legacy of passion, laughter, and love.
As Marcus’s passing was extremely untimely, the French-Allen family has set up a memorial fund to assist with his funeral and burial costs and to help support his surviving wife and children. We welcome everyone who has had the great pleasure of knowing Marcus to make a donation in his memory during this difficult time. (If you would like to make a donation by check or money order, please make it out to Myra French, and send to P.O. Box 2388, Waterbury, CT 06722.)
Marcus’s Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Olive Church of God in Christ, located at 68 Berkeley Avenue, Waterbury, CT. If you would like to extend expressions of comfort, the family is accepting brief visitations at the French family home between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Your compassion and kindness means so much, and we sincerely thank everyone who has reached out and offered their support. The love you have shown is overwhelming, and we cannot thank you enough.
Despite our heavy hearts and the void we feel as a result of this great loss, we truly believe that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We take peace in knowing that Marcus had a personal relationship with the Lord, and we have faith that he is now at home in glory.
