Hi, my name is Madison Freeman, and I’m reaching out to ask for your support. As 22-year residents of Altadena, my family was displaced by the devastating Eaton fires which completely capsized their lives. My parents, who both work from home, have lost access to their clothes, food, and shelter. They are currently staying with my grandmother in Pasadena, trying to piece together their lives amidst the chaos.
My parents are kind, hardworking people who left with only a laptop, our elderly dog, life-saving medication, and a few important documents. The unexpected costs of being displaced by a natural disaster have been overwhelming, and I’ve started this GoFundMe to help them navigate the challenges ahead. While we did not immediately lose our home, it is uninhabitable for the foreseeable future. My hometown of Altadena has been severely impacted—left without water and power and coated in toxic levels of ash—making it unsafe to return. Every donation will go toward covering essential expenses such as temporary housing, clothing, shoes, basic hygiene products, food, and other critical resources to help them recover and move forward during this challenging time.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering a donation or sharing this campaign.
Sincerely,
a devastated Madison Freeman
