Our family is reaching out for help as our little brother, Mikey, and his fiancée, Haley, face an unexpected and frightening journey ahead. Their sweet baby girl, Aurora, was born prematurely on June 6th and was then flown out to Sacramento a mere 5 hours after birth. She has undergone exploratory surgery, has had many pokes, and is being closely monitored by the most caring staff. As Mikey and Haley stay by their precious newborn’s side hours away from home, they are unable to work. They are also commuting back and forth in order to bond with their newborn while still caring for their toddler son, Carter. This poses a risk for significant financial strain during this stressful time, while Haley is recovering from an emergency C-section and they are both attempting to navigate life with two under the age of two. This was not the birth experience anyone, even Haley’s multiple specialists, could have predicted. Because of these compounding circumstances, we want to help raise money in an attempt to lessen the burden of medical expenses, travel costs, and daily necessities so they can focus on supporting Aurora’s recovery.
