Support the Foglietta Family

Dear Friends,

This fundraiser is set up to help Don Foglietta (Fog), Pamela (Lindsay), and their twin daughters, Jillian & Olivia, with medical and everyday expenses related to Fog’s care. Fog has been a loyal and dedicated employee of the Yankee Family for the past 17 years. As big a Boston sports fan as you will ever know, especially the Bruins, we can all envision him walking around the office talking about the game last night!

As many of you know, here at Yankee, Fog has been on leave for the past three weeks dealing with some health issues that have not allowed him to come to work. Although his illness gradually started in the summer, this last month has been the most difficult for the family, dealing with a great deal of uncertainty which has included sporadic fainting spells, inability to keep himself nourished and losing over 65 lbs., as well as numerous doctors and hospital visits. He has undergone countless tests, from CT scans, endoscopy, and most recently, a biopsy, so that doctors could figure out the cause of his illness.

After a week of waiting for his biopsy results, the Foglietta family was informed that Don has pancreatic cancer and kidney failure. His doctors have recommended that he be transferred to the care of the oncology department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. The family hopes to be able to get more information on what stage the pancreatic cancer is at and as well as a treatment plan in the coming weeks. He has been in the hospital for the past week and away from his wife, daughters, and Buster (pictured) who misses him dearly. The family is hopeful that he will be released and able come home soon. The effects of this illness are devastating for all of us here at Yankee and especially for the Foglietta family.

They have a long road ahead and anything we can do to alleviate any stress would be greatly appreciated by the family.
