As many have heard the Flynn family has been hit with some devastating news about Melissa's health. Her cancer is aggressively spreading through out her brain/spine. As you can imaging this news has crushed Melissa and Errol.
Melissa started her fight against cancer in 2021. We can only imagine the financial strain this has been for their family. I am hopeful we can come together and fiercely support Melissa, Errol and their 4 kids. We all know that they have had to suffer more hardship than any one family should ever have to. They derserve to focus on each other, rather than the medical bills, child care, daily bills, gas and whatever else may be a financial strain right now.
If you prefer to donate through Venmo, please do so at @Errol-Flynn-1
We ask that you graciously donate what you can and keep this family in your thoughts and prayers. We are asking for a miracle from god. If any family deserves one, it's the Flynn family.
Melissa's latest update on her IG:
"We are shattered. I can't believe it. I have been delaying writing this because it's hard.
Nine weeks ago we found out some devastating news. New leptomeningeal carcinomatosis involving intrapeduncular cistern, cerebellar folia, vermis and possibly the right lateral auditory canal.
This is more cancer in my brain/spine. Not tumors but cancer cells just floating around and causing me to be sick.
Ad many of you know, we were suppose to move to Florida on June 1. Errol got into a PhD school program for I/O phsyc. However, he has deferred the program for now.
So what does this mean? My official prognosis
1-8 months depending on what treatment I did. And 2-4 weeks if I elected to do no treatment.
Errol immediately helped me start a intense diet that I will follow for a minimum of two years, and numerous promising alternative therapies. Originally we were unsure about aggressive chemo treatments because of the risk and efficacy aren't what you'd hope. However, things started getting bad, and I felt like if I didn't do something the cancer would take over my body before any of the other integrative therapies had a chance to work.
Ive been nauseous and throwing up so much that I lost 20 pounds and decided to receive a feeding tube.
Following the tube placement and chemotherapy, I got really sick last weekend, and I had to be life flighted to Utah Valley Hospital. I am home now and returning to my routine as much as possible.
It's important to know I'm not giving up. I have faith and trust in efforts to thwart and end this. I also know all things are possible through God, as well as the atonement of Jesus Christ. We continue to exert ever effort and exhaust every option in our pursuit of healing while asking for and expecting my healing miracle.
We are asking that you call out to the heavens and ask God in full-faith, for his powers to pour down and heal me.
We have already seen so many miracles, and we are so thankful for all the prayers on our behalf. We have a village of people helping us everyday. We simply can't do this alone."
