Our Story

We are heartbroken to share that our family has faced an unimaginable tragedy. On the night of May 5th, our lives were shattered by gun violence within our own family home.

We are mourning the profound loss of our parents, Manuel and Adela Flores, who were victims of this violence and did not survive the incident. Their daughter, Elaina, suffered critical wounds and remains in the ICU fighting for her life. This trauma was also witnessed by Elaina's four year old son, Ricky, as well as Manuel and Adela's daughter, Alyssa.

Our Path Forward

Manuel and Adela were the heart of our family and were happily married for 44 years. Their priority was always the well-being of their children and grandchildren, and we are committed to honoring that legacy.

The road ahead is long. Elaina will require multiple surgeries, extensive physical rehabilitation, and mental health counseling. Additionally, Ricky has a significant recovery ahead from the trauma he witnessed. We are fully committed to providing Ricky with a safe and nurturing home while his mother recovers from her injuries.
