Hi everyone, I am Mehreen Tahir from Pakistan living in the US. I am helping to raise money for the flood victims of Pakistan as the situation is very grim. Pakistan has observed unprecedented rainfalls due to global warming!
At least 33 million people have been affected by the disaster and flooding and severe rains have killed at least 1,136 people, including 386 children, and left 1,634 more injured since mid-June, according National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA). Rapid flash floods have destroyed more than 3,000 kilometers (1,864 miles) of road, 130 bridges and 495,000 homes have been damaged. The situation has been clasified as the worst humanitarian disaster of this decade. Blacohistan (state of Pakistan) has been terribly affected by these floods as well and people are starving in those regions especially the kids! Pakistan has pleaded for international help but we our community is struggling beyond words and so I come to to you for HELP!
I assure you that every penny that you will donate will help a child and a family go through these crisis! I am helping with the donation camapign and all the moeny will help buy food, first aid kits, and shelters. My friends and family have been persoanlly impacted by these floods and a lot of people I know are now homelss because of that. Government funds are limited and these people are now in despair looking at International Organizations for help! So I come to you my fellow friends to ask for help!
1 USD = 222 PKR. I am trying to raise 1,500$ which is 333000 PKR. Just to give a rough estimate even 50 cents will help us significantly because 50 cents can help buy a first aid kit.
5 USD = can feed ONE person TWO meals
20 USD = can feed a family of FOUR for ONE day
50 USD = can help arrange shelters, first aid boxes, and meals for 10 people
