It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Warren Fletcher II this past weekend, 5/11/24. Warren was a great father of 3, husband, father-in-law, grandfather of 2, friend of many, and dedicated leader in Boy Scouts of America Troop 250 for many years. He was also a coach for several teams within the Special Olympics New York community, including the Commack Sharks (basketball, floorball), American Muscle (powerlifting), Dix Hills Chippers (golf), LI Yankees (softball), Alleybusters (bowling), and Brookhaven High Rollers (bocce). For over 25 years, he poured his time and effort into coaching Long Island athletes, having a profound impact on many lives. His love for his family and his commitment to the athletes he coached was evident in every practice, game, and competition. Warren went above and beyond for the athletes he coached. Warren will be deeply missed by his family and loved ones, and many within the Special Olympics New York community - from athletes and coaches to staff and volunteers. We are grateful for the time and effort he shared with all of us, and we will carry his memory with us. We ask that you keep the Fletcher family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
We will share information about services for Warren as soon as it is available. If you are able to provide the family some assistance, it would be greatly appreciated as anything would help ease some of the financial burdens to sustain the Fletcher family.
