Hello! We are The Firemingos, an LA-based all-women conclave performance troupe. You may know us from our creative performance video projects such as Wonderforce and West of Oz.

This is our third year creating a video project! We are excited to share our art with the world and have some special surprises in store for you with increases in production quality and storytelling like the conclave and fire performance world has yet to experience!

For the past few years, our leader Miche (@michemoonflower ) has been funding the majority of the production costs of the videos. To give transparency into this process, renting the venue to film West of Oz last year cost her $6000! Unfortunately, she is no longer able to fund this project on her own and we are asking our community for support.

This project is 100% volunteer-driven. With hundreds of hours of rehearsing, coordinating, and costume-making, the members fund their expenses for this project (props, fuel, costumes, transportation, etc). We have volunteer videographers who will be providing gear and post-production labor.

We ask for $5K this year to cover our venue rental cost & renting additional lighting equipment. All of this is a labor of love to share our art and elevate this artform: combining dance, fire, story-telling and video production. We are currently at risk of not doing this project due to a lack of funds. Please help in any way you can and share with your friends & community members who love and are inspired by the work we do.
