Support the Ferro Family After Palisades Fire Loss

The Ferro family lost their home and all of their belongings in the Palisades fire. Their insurance was recently canceled, and their new policy carries a $20,000 deductible and is insufficient to recover from a loss of this magnitude. Funds to be used for immediate necessities and insurance deductible.

It is with heavy hearts that we share devastating news about one of our Malibu community members.

The Ferro Family, long-time members of our community, have lost their home in the Palisades fire.

They lost their house and all of their treasured belongings and necessities. Their home not only supported their family's needs but served as their children’s home school classroom, containing a library of carefully curated materials and books designed to set them up for success in 9th grade and beyond.

They, like many others in the area, recently had their insurance canceled, and their new policy carries a $20,000 deductible.

Thom and Rosa Ferro embody everything we strive to be—kind, hardworking, and dedicated to their children’s development. Rosa and her husband Thom have lived up Las Flores for decades.

Many know their children, Roc and Cale’, who attended Webster Elementary before transferring to Sky Mountain Charter School. They are active in skateboarding, consistently giving their all to improve and grow. Cale’, an active artist, lost her entire art studio where she created numerous pieces since COVID.

As they navigate this unimaginable loss, we are calling on our community to come together and support the Ferro Family. Any contribution—big or small—can make a difference.
