We are writing with an appeal for help for a beautiful family we have known over 36 years, Zoila and her 35 year old son, Michael Felix. We met Zoila when we had the good fortune to find her to help with our newborn twins, Brandon and Gabriel, and our 3-year-old son, Jesse. Since then, Zoila and Michael have become family.

Michael became ill over the holidays and has been hospitalized for over 7 weeks, with a one week stay in the ICU, due to complications from severe pancreatitis. He has partial medical insurance that will cover some of his hospital stay and multiple surgical procedures. However, Michael is the sole provider for his family and has a long recovery ahead once he is out of the hospital.

We have watched Michael fight to regain his health after each medical complication, with Zoila sleeping in the hospital by his side. Financial pressures are mounting, and we want to do what we can to offer support to this family.

Our goal is to raise funds to help Zoila and Michael during this medical crisis. It is anticipated that he will have a 6-month recovery once he is home, and will not be able to work during that time. Donations will go to the following expenses:
