Edale Skyline walk to help Dr Kershaw's Hospice

Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm organising a challenge to walk the route of Edale Skyline in order to raise money for the fantastic team at Dr Kershaw's Hospice and every donation will help.

I recently lost my mum and in her final days she was at home with me and my dad, which was her final wish. The team at Dr Kershaw's were on hand to support us with her care and to make her as comfortable as possible. I can't thank them enough for their support and they not only helped to give mum a peaceful send-off but also supported me and dad through the difficult time.

Dr Kershaw's Hospice provides specialist palliative care for patients with non curable, life limiting illnesses in a peaceful and homely environment. Their services include, a 24 hour inpatient unit, Hospice at Home, Caring Hands and their Well Being Centre. All services provided are free of charge and costs £8,500 per day to run. Your support enables them to continue providing this unique care to their patients and their families.

Edale Skyline is a route that passes through the Peak District National Park near Castleton, Derbyshire. The trail takes you up to Mam Tor, which is one of the most iconic hills in England, continuing along the Great Ridge and heading up Kinder Scout, the highest point in the park. The circular route is just over 29KM long, on average taking around 9 hours to complete.
