Thanks to each of you for your contributions to the family of Tahir Fitzhugh. Your kindness and generosity is definitely appreciated by his family during this very trying time. I have named Tahir’s mother, Sherrie Fordham, as the beneficiary for the account, and she will begin making withdrawals in the near future.

Tahir Fitzhugh was tragically shot and died as a result of him being caught in crossfire at an off-campus event for local musicians. Tahir, a native of Chester, Pennsylvania, was an honors student close to completing his junior year at Alcorn State University. We are raising money for the following purposes:

1. Final funeral expenses
2. Transportation for Tahir from Mississippi to Pennsylvania
3. Transportation and lodging for Alcorn students wanting to attend final services in PA. (Charter bus and hotel expenses for 40 students)
4. Medical expenses incurred by the family.

We hope you will support the family as we prepare to celebrate the life of a young man taken from us too early.
