On April 28, 2021, Sophia Stevens tragically gained her angel wings. In the words of her mom, Cheryl Payne:
With the greatest depth of sorrow and love, we are devastated to announce the passing of our beautiful Sophia. She took her life last night after a long struggle. We hope our dear girl is now at peace. She is such a wonderful girl - her art, her love of fun, her heart, laughter and kindness are a beautiful legacy. We send so much love to her amazing friends. If anyone is struggling, please reach out to someone. There is always help. Our lives will never be the same but we are forever grateful that we have been blessed with her everlasting presence. Thank you for all of your love and support.
We are raising funds to help support the family with funeral costs and a donation to the Child and Youth Outpatient program at the Oakville Trafalgar Hospital.
