Support the family of Michelle Maccini
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kayla and I am making
this gofundme in support of the family of Michelle Maccini.
Michelle tragically passed away this past Friday at 48 years old. Far too young. Michelle’s health journey hasn’t been an easy one. About two years ago she started feeling unwell and received the news that she was in need of a heart. This was a scary moment for not only herself but her two children Madi, and Logan. On August 8th 2022 she was lucky enough to have a successful heart transplant. Things for Michelle were great for the last year and a half until right around Thanksgiving she started to feel unwell again. She was rushed by ambulance and that’s when Madi and Logan received another set back. It’s unknown what the cause was but Michelle’s body was beginning to fail her. She stayed in the ICU for weeks that then turned into months. Although she couldn’t be with her family for Christmas, it seemed Michelle was starting to get better and things were working out. However, a couple weeks back Michelle took a turn for the worst and medical interventions seemed to be less effective. It was then that doctor’s informed both Madi and Logan that they feel they had done all they can for Michelle, she was possibly in pain, and she wasn’t getting better. Madi and Logan were then faced with an unimaginable decision that no children at their age should have to make.
On Friday, February 16th Michelle passed away surrounded by family. It is for this reason I am creating this gofundme on behalf of Madi, and Logan who now are left with the aftermath that no children should have to deal with so young. It was always just the 3 of them. Madi and Logan were Michelle’s pride and joy making her proud as they grew. Madi is a full time college student at 21 years old and Logan is 16, a sophomore in high school. 21 and 16 years wasn’t nearly enough time with their mom. We all know how expensive funeral costs can be so I’m hoping this can at least cover the cost of services and perhaps some of the medical bills they are left with. Madi and Logan now have each other but also some help from their loving grandmother. The last thing this family should have to worry about is expenses while they grieve the loss of this incredible mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. Let’s come together now to show our love and support during this difficult time. Thank you so much.
