On May 19, 2026, our family experienced an unimaginable tragedy. Our beloved mother, Lucy Foster, tragically passed away in a devastating fire in Bloomfield, Connecticut.

For over 30 years, Lucy was a familiar and loved presence in the community as a salon owner and hairstylist on Blue Hills. To many, she was more than someone who did hair — she was a listening ear, a trusted friend, a helping hand, and someone who poured into others without hesitation.

She touched countless lives through her kindness, generosity, and dedication to her family, clients, and community. Generations of people knew her not only through her work, but through the love and support she gave so freely.

While our family is grieving the heartbreaking loss of our mother, we are also navigating the displacement of loved ones affected by the fire.

My two sisters and nephew lost personal belongings, clothing, and necessities and are currently in temporary placement while working toward stable housing and rebuilding after this tragedy.

At this time, we are raising funds to help with:

• Temporary housing expenses

• Food and everyday essentials

• Toiletries and hygiene products

• Transportation costs

• Replacing important belongings and necessities
