Support the Family of Keith Beers

On behalf of the hundreds of people that worked with Keith over the years, I am writing to ask for financial support for his wife and kids as he faces a sudden stage IV cancer diagnosis.

After visiting the doctor a few weeks ago because he was having trouble breathing, Keith learned this past week that he had stage IV cancer that had spread to his liver and other organs.

In a matter of days, Keith went from leading a normal life to being told that his condition is terminal. His doctors currently believe that he may only have weeks, if not days, to live. His condition has deteriorated over the last 72 hours and surgery is not a possibility. According to his doctors, chemotherapy is unlikely to be worthwhile at this point. The family has not given up hope, but they are now discussing end-of-life plans.

While Keith is obviously crushed, he doesn’t seem afraid of dying. Rather, he is heartbroken that his wife and kids will be saddled with existing debt (mortgage, credit cards, student loans, etc.) in addition to the uncovered costs associated with his medical care and subsequent burial arrangements.

All contributions will go directly to his wife, Kristie.

Hopefully relieving the financial burden on his family will provide some measure of comfort to him.
