We are heartbroken by the unexpected passing of John Chen, a beloved respiratory therapist, colleague, and devoted husband and father.

John dedicated 24 years of his life to the respiratory therapy profession, including 17 years serving patients and families at SHN. He was known among coworkers for his kindness, professionalism, and willingness to support anyone who needed help. John’s calm presence, compassion, and quiet dedication made a lasting impact on both his team and the countless patients whose lives he touched.

Beyond his work, John was a deeply devoted family man and the primary provider for his wife, Sarita, and their son, Joshua. His sudden loss has left an immeasurable void in their lives.

In honor of John’s memory, we are raising funds to support his family during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help provide financial stability and ease some of the burden as they navigate life without him.

John gave so much of himself to others throughout his life. This is an opportunity for our community to come together and give back to a family that meant everything to him.
