On March 13, 2026, our beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and friend Jacqueline “Jackie” R. Jardine passed away peacefully in Miramichi after a lengthy illness, surrounded by love.

Jackie lived a life defined by generosity, laughter, and an unwavering love for her family. Anyone who knew her knew she was always the first person to step up and help someone in need. Through her many years working with the public, she became well known throughout the community and formed countless friendships along the way. To some of her closest friends, she was also affectionately known as “Ethel.”

Family was the center of Jackie’s world. She leaves behind her long-time partner Charles Hay, her daughters Stephanie Jardine and Brittany Jardine, stepdaughter Charlene Hay (Jason), and stepson Darren Hay( Michelle)

Jackie was an incredibly proud grandmother and found great joy in her grandchildren: Jaden), Kohen, Kade, Corbin Hay, Troy Hay, Tyler Hay, Khrislyn Colford, and Jordyn LeBlanc.

Some of Jackie’s happiest moments were the simple ones — Saturday nights cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs with her grandsons, watching the Toronto Blue Jays, travelling with her sisters, children and grandchildren, and spending time with the animals she loved so much around her home.

Jackie had a special connection with nature and was affectionately known by family as a “fox and squirrel whisperer,” often feeding and caring for the woodland creatures around her property.

Over the past while Jackie bravely faced a lengthy illness that made it difficult for her to work and created a significant financial strain. We are starting this fundraiser to help ease the financial burden caused by medical expenses and lost income during this difficult time.

Funds raised will help with:

• Medical and related expenses

• Financial obligations accumulated during her illness

• Supporting her family during this difficult transition

• Helping provide support for the grandchildren she loved so deeply

Jackie spent her life helping others and bringing warmth, laughter, and kindness to everyone she met. Now we are asking for the support of the community whose lives she touched.
