It is with a heavy heart that I am creating this fundraiser in memory of my beloved sister, Ramandeep Kaur Maan, whose life was tragically cut short while serving the people of Canada.

Ramandeep was only 25 years old. Born and raised in Gudhe village, Ludhiana, Punjab, she came to Canada as an international student with big dreams, a strong work ethic, and a determination to build a better future. Through years of hard work and sacrifice, she completed her education, established herself in Alberta, and recently began her career as a Correctional Officer with the Correctional Service of Canada.

On August 6, 2026, while performing her duties during an inmate transfer in Alberta, Ramandeep lost her life in a devastating vehicle collision. She was serving her community with courage, professionalism, and dedication when this tragic accident occurred.

To the public, she was a correctional officer. To us, she was so much more.

She was a loving daughter who spoke to our parents every day, a caring sister who always put family first, and a loyal friend who touched countless lives with her kindness, humility, and beautiful spirit. Ramandeep was the pride of our family and an inspiration to many young people who leave their homes in pursuit of education and opportunity abroad.

The sudden loss of Ramandeep has left our family devastated emotionally and financially. We are now facing unexpected expenses related to funeral and memorial arrangements, family travel, and other costs associated with this unimaginable tragedy.

On behalf of my family, I am humbly asking for your support during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial burden and allow us to focus on honoring Ramandeep's memory.
