Support the family of Connor McMahon

The Nationals Soccer family is collecting donations for the McMahons in a time of need and unimaginable saddness.

Connor McMahon was one of the good guys. He was the guy who stood up for the underdog, the kind of person who rooted for everyone. A teacher at Fraser High School, living out his dream, after putting himself through college, he had just finished up his first year of teaching social studies. He was the teacher that was different, reaching out to students in a way that only he could do, through passion, through life, through friendship. Reading through the comments on his Facebook page, we know that his impact will never be forgotten.

Connor's life was tragically taken on Tuesday night after leaving a team building event for the Roseville summer school program. He was struck by a drunk driver after stopping to change a tire. He was only 23 years old. He leaves behind his loving family, who when I say are the most amazing people you could ever meet, I am not doing them justice. They are the good ones, the ones that show up, the ones that love, the ones that try to make a difference. This devastating moment reminds us all how precious life can be and we ask for your help today, to try and provide financial assistance to the family while they grieve.

"If somebody told you that I was some average, happy go lucky teacher without a care in the world, that I was like any other teacher you've ever had, then somebody lied, but my story, like any other good story worth telling, is just about somebody who wanted to be greater and make a difference." Connor McMahon

Please wrap your arms around this family and consider donating while they try to put the pieces back together and we continue to make sure that Connor's story lives on.
