Support the Family of Christopher Abert

This past spring, Chris was diagnosed with terminal cancer. True to himself, he has chosen not to pursue treatment and has instead spent the past few months chasing grand adventures and connecting with those he loves – and those who love him so dearly.

Chris has touched and changed each of our lives in the most beautiful and meaningful ways. His endless capacity for kindness and his ability to create safe, loving spaces for connection and healing are unique and transformative gifts he so graciously shares with us.

This fundraiser has been created to support Chris’s family as they navigate the many expected and unexpected expenses ahead. Anything you are able to share would be deeply appreciated. If you are not in a position to donate and would like to honor Chris in some way, messages expressing love and memories you've shared with Chris are also welcome. We just ask that they are written in a way that does not require a response. You can also honor Chris by being nice to people who use drugs and the most marginalized individuals among us, carrying naloxone (Narcan), learning about and advocating for overdose prevention centers in your communities, and last but not least – just kick the love up a notch.
