Envision Academy Arts and Tech High School is a public charter school, serving the families of 400 students in grades 9-12, in Oakland, California. More than 99% of Envision’s graduates go on to college (compared with 60% nationwide), many of them to competitive four-year schools. Due to COVID-19 , our students have had their education interrupted and the repercussions are continuing to be seen.
School was abruptly shut down on March 13, 2020 due to concerns about COVID-19.
The ripple affect of COVID-19 has caused students to be out of school, families to lose income from closed work sites, and a loss of counseling/meal services offered through the Envision Network. With the continued shelter in place, many of these issues have become exacerbated and created additional stressors for families to navigate.
Many of our students have had to work during this dangerous time, instead of focusing on distance learning, to help supplement loss of income.
As the day-to-day uncertainty continues to be an issue for many of our families, we are seeking the help the community to support our school, students, and families.
Your donation will go towards helping families cover bills, food, rent, and other basic necessities.
If you have other means of supporting our community, be it materials, work opportunities, or otherwise, please reach out to us.
Thank you for your support during this trying time! All donations are greatly appreciated!!
