Hello everyone. My name is Alyssa Fairchild, and beside me is my brother, Steven (Jessica), and my sister Jami. To start, my family and I would like to thank each and every person who takes the time to read and share this today.

Our father, Gary Fairchild Jr, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on February 20th, 2025. He was only 54 years old. This devastating loss has left our family with more heartbreak and hardships than we ever thought we’d have to endure, especially so soon in life.

His loss shortly follows the loss of his wife, our step-mother, Cindy Fairchild, by only four months, which was another tragic loss within our family. Cindy has three children of her own - Corey, PJ and Sarah, who have endured all of the stressers that follow with the passing of both parents as well. The six of us collectively losing two parents within such a short amount of time is beyond easy to explain and difficult to cope with.

Unfortunately, funds available to us are lower than we had expected. Nothing was pre-arranged and prepared for his passing. Between the costs of funeral home arrangements, celebration of life expenses and other post-death obligations in relation to both Gary and Cindy, my siblings and I have paid for everything out of pocket so far and still continue to.

Our father was a man who was once full of life, love and laughter. Through every trial and tribulation he faced within his life, he always found a way to push through and see the next day. With the passing of Cindy and their marriage of six years, a piece of him left this earth with her, but he was in the process of navigating through his grief to continue forward and see better days. He was loved beyond measure by his family and friends, and we all miss him dearly. Our father also leaves behind his two beloved granddaughters and his cat, Gizmo, that he greatly treasured.

Once again, my family and I thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. There are no words that can truly describe both our sorrow and our appreciation for all who have shown their support and care so far.
