The Ernzen’s were on a family trip to Scottsdale last weekend and it didn’t go as planned. Cameron was fighting a migraine and severe neck pain the first day they arrived and even after rest and a trip to urgent care, the pain persisted. Early Sunday morning he went to the ER where the doctors discovered a brain tumor - medullablastoma - and scheduled surgery.

His surgery took place on Tuesday 11/15 and it went well - the doctors were able to completely remove the tumor and they sent it off for biopsy just in case. He’ll have a long road of recovery with therapy, chemo and radiation all in the plan once he arrives back to Kansas. This gofundme is to not only help with medical expenses that will begin to stack up, but also to help with the unforeseen expenses the family has taken on in extending their stay in AZ as Cam recovers.

The doctors are hopeful that he will be cleared to travel in about a week but will play it by ear so he is safe to return home to continue his treatment and recovery.
