The English family suffered the biggest loss this weekend with the sudden passing of their oldest daughter, Claire (15). 

Claire lived with Rett Syndrome, a neuro-developmental disorder typically affecting girls. Because of her RAD parents, Claire lived a full life of adventure and fun. Watching her parents care for her was like watching a master class in teamwork. And as far as siblings go, Chloe ranks way up there. 

Colleen and Jared have been super involved since the beginning of their Rett journey. After participating in an early clinical trial, Colleen and Jared started RettlandFoundation. Rettland has been instrumental in helping countless families participate in continuing clinical trials for Rett syndrome treatments. 

 Claire and her family have touched so many lives. Claire with her quiet grace, sly smile and strength. Her parents have been a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen and a friend to so many. 

We are devastated by this unfair loss. 

This amazing family is facing a rough road ahead. We have needed them for so long and now they need us.
