It is with a heavy heart I share that on Friday November 14th, my father, Thomas Tyler Emerson Jr, has gone home to Jesus.

Dad was born on January 24th 1954 in Jonesboro Arkansas to Marjorie and Tom Emerson Sr.

Tom attended Kennet high school in Kennet MO.

Tom met Terry Lynn Greer who would become his wife in April 1974.

Tom soon joined and served in the Navy for 6 years. In his travels he would cross the arctic circle (officially labeling him a ‘Blue Nose’), visit the pyramids of Egypt, see Stone Henge, as well as visiting the iconic Colosseum in Italy. He would go on to see many other great places in history.

During Tom’s deployment, he met and accepted his Lord and savior Jesus Christ. This would be the most important decision of Tom and Terry’s lives.

Tom and Terry had 4 children, Jessica, John, Natalie, and Abigail.

Tom was presided in death by his two daughters Jessica and Natalie Emerson.

Tom enjoyed writing and playing music on his many guitars, collecting sentimental items, sports, and playing golf with his son in law, Matthew.

Tom battled testicular cancer in 1985 and 2017. He would once again battle cancer (bladder) in 2022 and would lose his battle on November 14th 2025 in his home with his daughter, Abigail, by his side.

Unfortunately, due to many years of financial difficulties, Thomas was unable to leave his family with any support.

For these reasons, the Emerson’s are not capable of providing any sort of memorial service, let alone have Tom cremated.

So, we humbly ask if you feel lead by God to please make whatever donation you feel inclined to assist the Emerson’s with giving Tom afterlife care.

If you are unable to make a donation we ask that you offer your prayers to Tom’s family as they navigate through his loss.
