Help the Ellis Family Through Financial Hardship

Hi, we are the Ellis family. My name is Gregg, my wife is Patti, and our son is Holden. Our story is as follows: We have raised our grandson since he was 3.5 yrs old and adopted him 3 years ago. When we first got custody of him, he had significant issues including PTSD and ADHD. Since he’s been with us, he has progressed greatly, and through a stable environment and therapy he has been cleared of PTSD and no longer in counseling. He is over 10 yrs old now and a very wholesome child.

Unfortunately, I was laid off from work several months ago, and we are at the end of our funds. Therefore, I’m seeking help for our financial hardship. I’ve been seeking employment from for both management and engineering roles, permanent and contract. At my age it’s been very difficult trying to find opportunities in either management or engineering. It appears that I am overqualified for direct engineering and my age is making it difficult for management roles, though I do have some activity going on through my network contacts. Therefore, I’m reaching out for help with funds to continue my search. Any help would be greatly appreciated and will hopefully allow us to bridge this hardship.
