It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Maria and Brett Egarr Sr. On Monday, November 10th, 2025, Brett Jr., Maria, and Brett Egarr Sr. were involved in a tragic general aviation incident. Miraculously, Brett Jr. survived the incident but has a very long road to recovery. Brett Sr. and Maria also left behind their son Dax Egarr, and Maria’s two daughters Krista and Kayla Lang.
Maria and Brett were amazing people who loved to travel, spend time with friends, but most importantly they were phenomenal parents. Brett was well known in the aviation industry and many United pilots looked up to him as a mentor. Maria was always there for everyone and had a huge heart. Once you were their friends, you were family. They will be greatly missed by so many.
We are asking for support for their family they tragically left behind. Brett Jr. (19) was airlifted to the closest trauma hospital to undergo multiple surgeries to treat his multiple injuries. He is hours away from home receiving treatment and will most likely be there for an extended amount of time. Brett is a fighter and is in good spirits. He still plans on continuing in his father’s footsteps in aviation, despite this extremely tragic event. Dax (18) is also by his brother’s side while he works through his senior year of high school. With that, there are lodging costs for the family members who are there supporting Brett’s recovery. Sandy Fales, Marias sister, is currently with the surviving children supporting them as they go through this difficult time. Anything that you can give will be greatly appreciated and go to supporting this wonderful family in their time of need.
