Supporting the Dwyer Family
Life is crazy...some phases bring absolute joy and happiness through so many things like the morning of your wedding day, landing that new job, winning that big game, buying that house, crushing that workout, finishing that kitchen remodel, spending time in your favorite place with your family, or through the birth of your children.
However, sometimes life takes us places that we never thought we would be; places we didn't even plan for. One day, you are just a healthy person happily married in your 20s with two babies, loving your job, working on with multiple fixer-upper projects and being excited to travel-- and then the next you are being told you have cancer. It is in that moment that life feels like a standstill. Nothing else seems in focus except how to navigate the next steps as a family. I feel like we often see things happen to others and we say "I can't imagine what that's like" and then all the sudden, one day, we find ourselves facing the unthinkable in the midst of our happiness either in our own persona life or along side our family members or our close friends.
It was in May when Zach and Breanne found out the Zach has testicular cancer. After many tests, an immediate surgery, multiple trips to the doctor, a multitude of scans and bloodwork-- and what felt like an eternity of fear and uncertainty--they were able to get enough answers to know what they were up against. Zach has begun his span of chemotherapy treatments in Seattle and things are starting to look up; Praise Jesus. However, there is a lot that comes with battling cancer...including a financial burden.
Zach and Breanne are people of faith and have given all of this to the Lord to deliver them through and are seeking strength and provision through Him, however, our financial support can assist them through this time as well. They did not want to ask for help--but after a lot of conversations with each other, family, and close friends, they have allowed us to create this so we can all help out. They are both self-employed and work so hard but are not eligible for a lot of resources. Zach’s health insurance is also ending at the end of this month.
Zach and Breanne will use these funds for travel and lodging in Seattle, medical expenses, and whatever else they need while Zach goes through treatment. They have agreed that any funds they do not use, they will seek to donate to others in need or a private cancer fund, however, we respect whatever they need the funds for during this time.
While your financial support is so appreciated, please also support through your prayers. Pray for peace, comfort, healing, and strength. We love the Dwyer Family!!
