It is with heavy hearts that the Dunnagan family share the sudden and tragic loss of Jake Dunnagan. After spending a special evening with his fiancé, cousin, aunt, and uncle, Jake became unresponsive in his vehicle on May 10. His fiancé, aunt, and uncle immediately performed life-saving measures before he was transported to Morton Hospital, where medical professionals continued every effort to revive him.

On May 10, the day before his 25th birthday—and a day that also marked Mother’s Day—Jake passed away, leaving behind a family and community devastated by his loss. At this time, no answers are known as to the cause, making this loss even more difficult for those who loved him. Jake was healthy and happy, with so much ahead of him.

To know Jake was to love Jake. He always had a smile to give, the kind that could light up a room and make anyone feel welcome. Jake had an incredible zest for life, embracing every adventure and opportunity that came his way. He loved his big family, his fiancé, the outdoors, spending time in nature, and recently poured his dedication into his plumbing business, which was flourishing. His determination, kindness, and hardworking spirit left a lasting impact on everyone he met, and his memory will continue to inspire those who knew him.

As the Dunnagan family navigates this unimaginable grief, the Adna community—as they always do—has the opportunity to come together to offer their love and support. This fund will help ease their journey—covering funeral expenses, memorial arrangements, and giving them the space to grieve without added financial worry.
