Help Megan & Joe Ducote Rebuild After Losing Everything in the Flood
On June 18, 2026, our small community was forever changed by the devastating flood that swept through Plaucheville. While many families were affected, one family close to our hearts lost nearly everything they owned.
Joe and Megan Ducote are loving parents to three beautiful children—an 11-year-old and two precious 4-year-old twins. Joe works tirelessly to provide for his family, while Megan stays home caring for their children and managing the day-to-day needs of their busy household.
In just a matter of hours, floodwaters took what they had spent years building.
Their home filled with water, destroying furniture, clothing, toys, household items, children’s belongings, and so many of the things that made their house a home. The toys their toddlers played with every day, the clothes in their closets, family keepsakes, and the comfort and security they worked so hard to provide for their children were suddenly gone.
As parents, we can only imagine the heartbreak of watching your children lose so much and not knowing where to begin. While material things can be replaced, the emotional impact of this loss is something no family should have to face alone.
The Ducote family is now trying to pick up the pieces and rebuild their lives from the ground up. They are facing the overwhelming task of replacing necessities for themselves and their children while navigating the uncertainty that comes after a disaster.
If you know Megan and Joe, you know they are the kind of people who would give the shirt off their backs to help someone else. They never expected to be in a position where they would need to ask for help themselves.
Today, we’re asking our community to come together and surround this family with love, support, and hope. Every donation—big or small—will help provide clothing, furniture, household essentials, children’s items, and other necessities as they begin this long journey toward recovery.
If you are unable to donate, please share this fundraiser and keep the Ducote family in your prayers.
Let’s remind them that even in the darkest moments, they are not alone.
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.” — Isaiah 43:2
❤️ Thank you for helping Megan, Joe, and their children rebuild not just their home, but their sense of hope for the future.
