Our world has changed forever. On Friday, we lost our beloved Murphy in a tragic head-on collision on an icy road in Delta Junction, Alaska. There are no words big enough to hold this heartbreak. Murphy was taken from us far too soon, and the shock of it still feels impossible to grasp.

Murphy was living a life she loved in Alaska. She served proudly as a police officer for the U.S. Department of Army, building a home and a future in a place that brought her so much happiness. Just two months ago, she married Gage, the love of her life, in a private ceremony — a quiet, joyful beginning to the next chapter she was so excited about. Her husband adored her more than words can say — he rushed to the scene within minutes and was with Murphy during her final moments of life. We are grateful for everything he has done and hope to be there for him as our collective grieving continues.

Murphy brought warmth, child-like innocence, and an infectious laughter wherever she went. She had a spark that made life feel a little brighter, a little lighter, simply because she was in it. She deserved decades more of love, joy, and adventure. Though that was taken from her, the impact she made remains — deep, lasting, and forever cherished. We will continue to honor her, celebrate her, and speak her name. Every year on July 19th, her birthday, we will gather in her memory and celebrate the beautiful soul we were blessed to love. And on January 17, 2026, we will come together in Debary, Florida for a memorial to share stories, tears, and gratitude for the life she lived.
