Support the Dreessen Family During Kyle’s Cancer Battle

Donation protected
On November 1st, Kyle Dreessen celebrated his birthday in a way no one could have anticipated. Just one day earlier, on Halloween, Kyle visited the ER thinking he might have suffered a stroke. What followed was a whirlwind of life-altering events.

Doctors quickly discovered that it wasn’t a stroke but a mass in his brain. Within 11 hours, Kyle underwent emergency brain surgery to remove the mass. The surgery saved his life but left him facing significant challenges—including the loss of his memory and ability to read.

During the first week post-surgery, Kyle focused on rebuilding his memory and relearning how to read. Family and friends rallied around the Dreessens, helping them navigate daily life while awaiting critical biopsy results.

On November 22nd, the family received devastating news: Kyle was diagnosed with grade 4 astrocytoma, a highly aggressive form of brain cancer. The prognosis – delivered just one day before Thanksgiving – is tough, with a median life expectancy of 2-5 years. Despite this, Kyle and his family are fighting with hope and determination.

He is now at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona, working with a dedicated medical team to begin a six-week course of combined radiation and chemotherapy. Following this, he will continue chemotherapy for an undetermined duration as part of his treatment plan.

Kyle’s medical team is also considering the possibility of additional brain surgery, pending upcoming MRI results and consultations with his neurosurgeon.

This journey has placed an enormous emotional and financial strain on the Dreessen family. As the primary financial provider for his family, Kyle’s diagnosis has brought immense challenges not just for him but also for his wife, Blair, and their children.

By donating to this fundraiser, you can help alleviate some of the financial burdens they face. Your generosity will support:

-- Medical expenses: Covering treatment, medications, and associated costs.

-- Travel expenses: Ensuring Kyle can access the best care at the Mayo Clinic and beyond.

-- Living expenses: Helping the Dreessens maintain a sense of normalcy for their children.

Every dollar donated brings relief and allows the Dreessens to focus on what matters most: spending time together and supporting Kyle as he fights this battle. Your support will make a meaningful impact, whether it’s covering a travel expense, a medical bill, or simply lightening the load so the family can focus on healing.

The Dreessen family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this incredibly challenging time. They are committed to sharing updates along the way, so you can follow Kyle’s journey and see the direct impact of your kindness.

Thank you for standing with the Dreessen family. Your generosity, prayers, and encouragement mean the world to them.

Please donate and share this fundraiser to help Kyle and the Dreessen family during this critical time.
